More Than A Few Young Men Who Work In Construction Exhibit Abusive And Hazardous Drinking And Need Alcohol Rehabilitation



I know several young men who work in construction who display a drinking problem. After working very hard for eight hours, it seems "logical" to go to the local tavern to have a few brews with one's drinking buddies. Usually, however, it seems that the well-intentioned few brews turns into a situation in which a lot of beers are ingested, much money is spent, and several hours are spent at the local drinking establishment rather than spending time with their friends, wife or girlfriend, or with their family.

How hard can it be for these construction workers to realize that excessive and hazardous drinking regularly leads to friendship, marital, and relationship problems? Why are these alcoholism and alcohol abuse signs so difficult for my hard working pals to see?

Does it really surprise anybody to realize that these hard working guys eventually complain about alcohol-related health difficulties such as hangovers, alcohol poisoning, a loss of energy, and sleep disturbances? Is it truly surprising that many of these hard working men are beginning to have various mental health problems such as depression? Why can't my hard working pals "see" these alcohol abuse and alcoholism signs?

Concerning the drinking problems displayed by these hard working men, the major point of emphasis is that honesty is necessary. Indeed, these construction workers, not unlike others who involve themselves excessive and hazardous drinking, need to look at their behavior and make an honest appraisal of what excessive drinking is doing to their finances, to their relationships, to their health, to their jobs, and to their mental health. In a word, these construction workers need to realize the signs of alcoholism and alcohol abuse manifested by their excessive and hazardous drinking.

My hard working pals need to get motivated and inspired about wanting to make a constructive change in their lives. In other words, these hard working men need to get motivated to go to their family doctor or to the local alcohol treatment clinic and discover whether or not they are essentially abusing alcohol or if they are addicted to alcohol. Based on this information, my hard working friends then need to get the alcohol detox treatment and the alcohol rehab they need.

The positive news is that there's a vast number of rehabilitation facilities, rehab programs, drug and alcohol treatment clinics, treatment centers, and hospitals where these construction workers can get top-shelf treatment for their irresponsible and hazardous drinking. And with some effort, it is feasible to find rehabilitation facilities, rehab programs, drug and alcohol treatment clinics, treatment centers, and hospitals that are relatively inexpensive.

There were undeniably times in the past when first-class help for alcohol addiction or alcohol abuse was more expensive and far less available that it is now. Because of the proliferation of alcohol addiction and alcohol abuse in the past decade, however, an alcohol addicted person or an alcohol abuser usually has few, if any, valid excuses for failing to face his or her irresponsible and hazardous drinking.

From that point forward, lasting alcohol recovery necessitates commitment, follow through, and an honest desire to change one's destructive lifestyle.
